NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry, the Saraswathy Kshethram in the land of Anchuvilakku, stands tall among the premiere academic institutions of Kerala.Inspired and founded by Shri Mannathu Padmanabhan, it is beacon of light to thousands of students in and around Changanacherry. From a humble beginning it has grown into an impressive edifice in a short span of time. Established in 1947, it is one of the largest colleges under Mahatma Gandhi University. The college, with 125 teachers, 65 non teaching staff and 2200 students, is striving to maintain the high profile it has earned. St.Berchmans Higher Secondary school is an aided school situated at the heart of Changanacherry. The administration of this prestigious school is vested in the archdiocese of Changanacherry. The medium of instruction is both Malayalam and English. There are parallel English Medium divisions from Standard V to X. In the higher secondary section, the medium of instruction od course is English. The School aims at preparing the students to appear for the public examination of Standards X and XII in the Kerala State Board syllabus. A high standard of teaching, discipline, development of moral and social habits and various co-curricular activities which makes the puils perfect and upright citizen are the main features of the education imparted by us.
