Policy Proposals For India is a continuously evolving research effort that aims to reach out to academics, researchers, media professionals and policy makers at all levels in government and corporate sectors of India. It essentially focuses on some of the most challenging issues the country is facing, and at the same time offers concrete policy suggestions that can help them in achieving rational outcomes in their endeavours. It houses articles on topics as wide as public administration, strategic affairs, economy, social development, education, health, environment and science & technology.
The Policy Proposals For India is headed by Anubhav Srivastava. He has worked with leading media organisations like The Times of India and The Pioneer. His areas of interests are politics, economy and public administration.

Mr A N Shukla – He is a former Chairman of the Railway Board, the apex body that administers the Indian Railways which is the largest commercial employer and the second largest rail network in the world under a single management. He has held several important administrative positions including General Manager, Central Railway and Secretary, Railway Board. He has also served as General Manager, RITES Ltd and as Executive Director, Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO).
Lt Gen Raj Kadyan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) – A former Deputy Chief of the Indian Army, he is the Chairman of Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement (IESM) and Additional Director General (Ceremonies) of the organising committee of the Commonwealth Games 2010 to be held in Delhi. He is also the President of Rajputana Rifles Officers Regimental Association. He has written several articles on strategic affairs for various publications and has authored a book titled “The Lies That Win: Army Promotions”.
Mr Ramesh Kumar Sharma – He is proprietor of the Baidyanath Group, which is one of the leading manufacturers of Ayurvedic healthcare products in India. He has also been the Minister for Cultural Affairs in the government of Uttar Pradesh. Currently, he is the Chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Bundelkhand Vikas Nigam Limited, a post equivalent to a state cabinet minister.
Prof. P S Bisen – He is a former Vice-Chancellor of Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He has served as a subject expert and adviser for prestigious government bodies in India including Ministry of Human Resource & Development, Ministry of Environment, Union Public Service Commission, University Grants Commission and Jawaharlal Nehru University. European Economic Commission awarded him their most prestigious postdoctoral fellowship "Marie Curie". He has done pioneering research work on Tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS, Cancer and Filariasis. At present, he is Director, Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior.
Mr Ashok Kumar - Son of Hockey Wizard Major Dhyan Chand, he was a member of the Indian hockey team in the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He was conferred the Arjuna Award by the government of India for his outstanding sporting achievements and contribution to Indian hockey. He is best known for scoring the goal that proved to be decisive in India winning the 1975 World Cup.
Mr D P Sharma - He completed his B-Tech in civil engineering from IIT Madras and M-Tech from IIT Kanpur with specialization in Environmental Engineering. He has worked in several important administrative positions, both in India and abroad, and retired as Chief Engineer of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, the largest public health engineering organisation in the state. He was sent on deputation to the Government of Kenya for monitoring the civil engineering projects there. He is an authority on environmental issues and water resource management.
Mr Harsh Agarwal - He has worked with the United Nations on the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project in Poland as an ambassador of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and on the United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) sponsored project for UNNATI Features. He is a founder member of CURE (Coalition to Uproot Ragging from Education) established in 2001. He was appointed as Consultant by the Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education, Government of India to form a national level policy against ragging. He has also worked with international organisations like People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Network (HDHS) and PRAYAS. Mr Mohit Garg - He graduated from IIT Bombay with a Dual Degree (M.Tech + B.Tech) where he was awarded the Institute Gold and Silver Medals. His primary interests lie at the intersection of technology and social development. Issues relating to environment, human rights and poverty alleviation also keep him occupied. He co-founded India's oldest anti-ragging (hazing) NGO - CURE (www.noragging.com) in 2001. His personal homepage is at www.mohrahit.in
Mr Pravin Kumar Singh - He has worked with the National Literacy Mission run by the government of India and has participated in various social and cultural initiatives through the NGO 'SANMARG' Social & Environmental Association. He has also been a member of the ART OF LIVING programme by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. His areas of interest are rural development and public health.
