202 - A, Gautam Nagar, New Delhi ,
It was formally declared opened on 7 May 1974, in New Delhi, by evangelical Christian leaders of India. In the beginning the project was called New Hindi Bible Commission (NHBC) And it was officially opened on 16th April 1980 and regisered on October 30,1980 at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, under Society Act XXI of 1860. All evangelical churches were invited to send their representatives to discuss this project. After several such meetings it was unanimously resolved that a completely new translation of the whole Bible should be taken up. Hence, the New Hindi Bible Commission was formed and the selected, well known, theologians, pastors, evangelists, translators, and the leaders of the churches were appointed to begin with this important and noble task. (Late) Dr. Kenneth McVety of The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM), then Director of the Word of Life Press Ministries,Tokyo, Japan, was the main person to initiate this important project. He acted as our International Representative. He had been the main instrument in providing financial assistance to pay honorariums, travel expenses, local accommodations, etc. for the translators to come to Delhi and do the work of translation verse by verse with the help of various latest biblical tools available. These translators were assigned separate portion to translate at home and bring the translation toDelhiandLucknowfor checking by a team called Central Checking Committee. They were all well equipped with necessary tools – the dictionaries, commentaries and many other helpful books – to translate accurately in the language which could be understood by general readers keeping in view the dignity of the Word of God. We were also privileged to get an expert help from Mr. Dale R. Seefeldt who had a formal education and degree in Hebrew and Greek. Since he was born and brought up inIndia, he also knew Hindi very well. The translation is based on NASB (1971) edition and done by the evangelicals. Its OT text is based on Biblia Hebraica (by Rudolf Kittel) for Hebrew and the NT text on the Nestles 23rd edition for Greek. The person who compared the texts was the product of Wheaton College, IL, USA Since IBP is a non-profit making and Faith Ministry run faithfully from a rented office-cum-storage, we are bound to make an appeal to the local churches, Christian organizations and friends (locally and globally) to come forward and help us in printing, publishing and making the Word of God (Hindi Bible & its portions) available to the needy people of the Indian Sub-Continent. In God’s providence, this work continued. Under God’s help and provision we had the privilege & pleasure of releasing its first New Testament on May 1, 1981, at the YMCA, New Delhi. Later on by God’s grace we were able to complete the translation of the whole Bible, called Pavitra Bible (Holy Bible) in 1991 which was released on July 27, 1991. This wonderful Bible has been widely accepted by the individuals, churches, organizations and Bible Schools & Colleges. We just praise the Lord for His grace and faithfulness. We are thankful to God for His provisions for the works so far. Now, as Dr. Kenneth McVety has gone to be with the Lord, we need meet all the financial obligations of IBP on our own. And in order to carry on this vital ministry of IBP, we are quite open to receive the foreign funds for the bible printing ministry of IBP. So th Society is also registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 1976, with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, to receive foreign funds & grants, vide FCRA No. 231650184.

Faith AG Church

Faith AG Church

Vignana Nagar, New Thippasandra post, Bangalore ,
The Church was established in July 1979 with just 30 people in Ulsoor, now known as Halasuru. In the year 1980 it was named 'Faith Assembly of God Church'. It was located in the same place till 1982 and later due to the growth which led to congested accommodation and insufficient place for parking, we soon shifted to a place called New Thippasandra. Here, the meetings were held in the temporary building covered by AC sheets. And the Church functioned from February 1982 - 1996. Again, the Church began to grow.. in worship, in Word of God, in music and fellowship . Due to the tremendous growth, the Church again had problems in accommodating the people and insufficient parking area, also the Church got into petty problems with the neighbours who weren’t happy about the huge gathering. So for these reasons we had to move to another place. Thus, in August 1996 we shifted to a place called Malleshpalaya. And at a same time the Kannada Bible School presently known as Karnataka Institute of Theology, which was located in Byapanahalli was also shifted to Malleshpalaya. Both the college and the Church started functioning together in the same place. The Church had a huge growth in both quality as well quantity. As the members of the congregation began to increase in number, we had to look for a bigger place. So we bought a new land in Vignan Nagar, which is 1 km away from the old place, in December 2001, the Lord helped the church buy a new land in Vignan Nagar, which is 1 km away from the old place. from then on the Church is actively functioning with new people being added every week.
