BCIL was incorporated as public limited company in 1990 under the Indian Companies Act 1956. It is promoted by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and financed by the All India Financial Institutions including IDBI, ICICI, IFCI, UTI and IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited (formely RCTC) and the corporate sector including Ranbaxy Laboratories, Glaxo India, Cadila Laboratories, Lupin Laboratories, Kothari Sugars and Chemicals, Rallis India, SPIC, Madras Refineries, Zuari Agro, EID Parry, ACC and Excel Industries. BCIL has been actively involved in technology transfer, project consultancy, fund syndication, information dissemination, and manpower training & placement related to biotechnology over the last decade and half. It has assisted hundreds of clients including scientists, technologies, research institutions, universities, first entrepreneurs, the corporate sector, national and international organizations, central government, various state governments, banks and financial institutions.

To maximize new opportunities in biotechnology research and bring more innovative products more quickly, Genewin possess highly equipped Research division. R&D focuses on large molecule research, including Biofertilizers, Hydrophonics, Strain Improvement techniques, Biofuels, Electricity from Biomass and Biochar in agriculture through field trials. Enhanced product development, following proof of quality providing easy access to farmers. Farmers are provided with resources to pursue attractive growth and yields of our product. We are the leading manufacturers of Biofertilizers which are indigenous, cheap and ecofriendly products. Mass production of Bacterial fertilizers is carried out that act as soil conditioners. Manufacturing Divisions Veterinary division- With combined efforts and vast experience of agriculturists and veterinary scientists we provide the best quality animal feed and supplement to boost milk production and encourage general health of the animals/cattles. These products have an optimal blend of protein carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals which boost animal/cattle health and milk production. We wish to deliver our expertise by means of our products to all the animals/cattle rears. Agricultural bio products division- Good plant health is the dream of every farmer. By our agriculture bio product division we wish to bring to all our farmers a number of bio-pesticides, vermicompost and organic plant material to boost plant health and minimizing the load of toxic chemicals on environment. Human health division- Taking into account the rising concern for the best and herb based health products among us; we provide a vast range of herbal products for human health and general well being. We are into manufacture of organic products for human health, care and maintenance under different trade names. SERVICE DIVISION Service division- The company has its service sector for pest management in agriculture, veterinary and community. ICSCCB was inaugurated by Dr. Keith Humphries (Director, Terry Fox Laboratory, BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada), one of the pioneers of stem cells and cancer biology. We have started practical and theoretical training courses, PG certificate programs, IFS programs with emphasis on high quality practical training. We have many distinguished scientists from around the world on our Scientific Advisory Board and they are actively participating and supporting our initiative. We hope to make ICSCCB one of the best industrial and academic center in the world. We provide practical hands-on training on molecular biology of stem cells, cancer biology, molecular biotechnology and bioinformatics. The biology and bioinformatics contents are interwoven in such a manner that it would help a molecular biologist to find solutions to real time problems in the lab and a bioinformatician to understand the wet lab aspects of bioinformatics tools.
