Staff
The teaching facility of St Mary’s HS Kamukincode forms a tremendous task force comprising of around 45. 21 teachers including a special teacher in the upper primary section and 23 teachers including three special teachers for Music, work experience and physical education are working in the school under the guidance of our Headmaster.
FACILITIES:
Library
Our library comprises of a lot of books which help in the academic improvement including encyclopedias and other books which enhance their reading habit. The students are encouraged to take books from the library periodically.
Laboratory
Full fledged laboratories to equip the academic needs of the children are arranged in the school.
IT Laboratory
Two well equipped laboratories are arranged to provide enough practical facilities to our entire student. Activities under the Information Technology Club are guided by the school IT coordinator.
Sports and Games
Separate teams are maintained in basketball, Hockey and Athletics under the proper guidance of Physical Education Teacher.
Conveyance
Most of the pupils are from the nearby places of the school. Two school Buses play to other areas in which provide better conveyance to children.
Activities
Pupils in our school are encouraged and trained to take part in various Art competitions, Craft and Science Exhibitions Competitions etc in various levels such as sub-district, district and state
Value Education
Every student is under the care of class teacher who maintain anecdotal records of each student and looks after their overall development. Moral Science classes are taken according to the syllabus given by the school management.
Clubs
The various clubs such as Forestry, Eco-club, English, Health Science, Social Science, Moths,Vidyarangam, Agriculture, Scout, Red cross, Sports, IT, Work Experience and Gandhi Darshan are working Actively. The members meet once a week under the guidance of teacher.
Magazines
Class Magazines, Vidyarangam Magazine, Editions for Onam, Independence Day, etc are published
PTA
Regular meetings are arranged to discuss the development and progress of our student
ST. MARY’S HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL:
St. Mary’s School has obtained approval to begin its academic section in the Higher Secondary section in the year 2002. The sanctioned strength to be accommodated in the higher secondary segment is 100 students. St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School offer only Physic, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics as preferred subjects for the students. In addition to prescribed combination, two languages are compulsory to study as a part of syllabus. There are eight teach these students.
