R K College, Madhubani
Ram Krishna College, Madhubani, situated in the heartland of the Mithilanchal, was established in 1941. The college imparts value - aid education in the district of Madhubani, a poor and backward region and a border area facing NEPAL.
The college is spread over in an area of 39 acres of land. The college provides quality higher education and our boys every year capture top ranks in University exams. At present the college is imparting P.G. teaching in 13 subjects.
The college organized extension activities in several area like social work, Environment awareness, AIDS awareness, Literacy, Health & Hygiene awareness, Blood donation camps, Population growth and child care etc from time to time.
The college has separate Science, Arts and Commerce Blocks, Administrative block, General Literacy, Auditorium, Common room, Cycle Stand etc. The Library has more than 56,000 books and reference books for the use of students & faculty.
The college has ample facility for indoor and outdoor games. It has sufficient play ground . A big ground with stadium is under the consideration of college plan. The college has the facility of 12 stage Zim & one 4 in 1 Jogger and other exercise facilities.
There are two units of NCC and two units of NSS functioning in the college.
The college has started a placement Cell for training & guiding the students. Different Multinational companies are invited for Campus selection of students. About 40 students got campus placement. R.K.College has been assigned by NAAC and has been accredited B++.
The college is one of the associate college of Foundation of Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA), New Delhi to help secure social justice for students belonging to disadvantaged section of society. The pathways programme under FAEA provides all types of assistance to the under privileged to bring them parallel with upper strata of the society. Only two colleges of Bihar is associated with FAEA, the other is Patna Woman's College. Eight students of R.K.College have been selected for FAEA Scholarship and they are availing is while studying in Engineering and other Institutions as well.
