आपला खडकावरचा गणपती हा पहिल्यापासूनच प्रसिद्द ! 1930 मधे कै. शंकर मोतिराम मेस्त्री, कै. हरीशचंद्र मोतिराम मेस्त्री, कै. गोविंद मोतिराम मेस्त्री, कै. लक्ष्मण मोतिराम मेस्त्री व कै. परशाराम मोतिराम मेस्त्री यांनी प्रथम गणपती आणायला सुरूवात केली. अशाप्रकारे आपला गणपती हा खडकावरील पाच कुटुंबांचा खासगी गणपती आहे. सर्वप्रथम कै. शंकर मोतिराम मेस्त्री यांच्याकडे हा गणपती बसायचा त्यानंतर कै. हरिश्चंद्र मोतिराम मेस्त्री यांच्या मालकीच्या नवीन घरातील हॉलमधे गणपती बसायला लागला, पुढे या गणपतीची स्थापना त्यांच्या हॉलपुढील चौकात होऊ लागली, त्यानंतर आपले बाप्पा हे वाड्यात बसायला लागले म्हणजे आता बसतात त्या ठिकाणी. खर तर 1930 साली च्या 16 वर्षा आधी पासून खडकावर आपले बाप्पा बसायचे, परंतु मेस्त्री कुटुंबांचा गणपती म्हणून आपले बाप्पा 1930 साली पासून नावास्वरुपात आले व 1930 हेच आपले पहिले वर्ष होय.

Padmashri Annasaheb Jadhav Bharatiya Samaj Unnati Mandal, Bhiwandi's B.N.N. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Bhiwandi B.N.N. College was established in June 1996 by Padmashri Annasaheb Jadhav, the Founder President of the Mandal to cater to the academic needs of the students of Bhiwandi and surrounding areas. The College started with Arts and Commerce faculties to begin with and soon got permission to start Science faculty also. Today, B.N.N. College has become a centre of academic attraction and excellence in the district of Thane with its conventional as well as professional courses.
