Why this NGO was formed? WE always watched the scenario of the child asking for the money on road, signal and on many others places but most of the times we felt regretted that we are unable to do anything for them, so for helping the children of underprivileged section of society, we just wanted a medium,So we came up with an idea of organised network so that many like minded people who have the will but don't know how to proceed will get an opportunity. TO open an NGO was a dream of a budding engineers.We all thought whether to start such a organization or not ,so we came up with NGO named WINGS- INSPIRE TO ASPIRE. We all thought intensively that what we can do for the betterment of a society or indirectly for the betterment of a country ,so we all came up with one main motto to educate the children and to provide them stationary items of a underprivileged section. As we all know that education is the backbone of any country's progress,so we thought to provide education to the children who can't avail the facility provided by government. WINGS ARE NECESSARY FOR A BIRD TO FLY similarly WE along with your support would like to empower these children with resources which is out of their reach owing to financial problem. AIM/MOTTO :- AS you all know that most of the members of our organization are students i.e. unemployed, so instead of providing the financial support to the families of a underprivileged section who are unable to bear the stress of a educational expenditure of their child , we can provide education for free to their child on weekends. We can also provide them our old clothes which are no longer being used by us along with our stationary which we most of the times throw in a dustbin without being fully used such as partially used copies, rubbers,pencils etc. IF any individual/members would like to contribute in any way (not necessarily money) can contact us. The institute was established in June 1960 and later named in honor of engineer, planner and statesman, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. It is one of the National Institutes of Technology and in 2007 was conferred the status of Institute of National Importance.HistoryThe college was established as the Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur in 1960, under an educational program of the Government of India. The State College of Engineering, established in 1956 in the same city, was then merged with the institute.The first academic session at VRCE started in June 1960, with classes temporarily being held at the Government Polytechnic, Nagpur. Subsequently, the Maharashtra Government granted 200 acres (81 ha) to the college for building its campus.In 1962, the Board of Governors of the college resolved to name the college after Sir Visvesvaraya.In 2002, the institute was made a National Institute of Technology under the NIT Act and renamed as VNIT. In 2007 it was conferred the status of Institute of National Importance. VNIT faculty and staff mentor the newly established National Institute of Technology Mizoram during the academic year 2010-2011.
