The dreams of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kottar, took shape in the year 1998 as an Institution, which aims at providing higher and technical education to the youth under the chairmanship of the late Most. Rev. Dr. Leon A. Tharmaraj, Bishop of Kottar. All India Council for Technical Education granted approval to this college (vide order no. 732-52-181 (HDE/ET/97, dated 22.07.1998). The Government of Tamil Nadu and Manonmanian Sundaranar University granted the recognition (Letter No: GO(M.S.) No.408, dated 11-08-1998) and affiliation (Letter No.: MSU/CD FreshAff/98/99 dated 25-08-1998) in the same year. The College was affiliated to Anna University, Chennai in 2002-2003. In pursuit of excellence, a quality management system has been developed in line with ISO 9001-2000 and implemented in this college. As a result of this, in July 2003, this college was awarded the ISO 9001-2000 certificate by STQC certification services.
