Hooghly Mohsin College is one of the oldest heritage and prestigious institution of liberal arts and sciences college in West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and offers undergraduate and postgraduate level courses. The college is directly funded and controlled by the Government of West Bengal. From 1857 to 1960 it was affiliated to the University of Calcutta. It is situated on the banks of Hooghly River in Chinsurah, India.HistoryThe college was founded by Hazi Mohammad Mohsin on 1 August 1836. It completed its 175th Anniversary in the year 2011. He founded the college in Perron's House.The college retains an architectural structure as the Rishi Bankim Chandra Hall or The Main Building even today. Initially known as the New Hooghly College, it was renamed "Hooghly Mohsin College" at the time of Centenary jubilee celebration. Recently, Hooghly Mohsin College has been awarded B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized (2f & 12B)by the University Grants Commission (UGC)Act 1956. The has also been recognized as College with Potential for Excellence by the UGC. Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, has awarded "Star College" status and Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has identified the strength in teaching-learning in Science Streams and sanctioned funds under DST-FIST Scheme.

Pearls of God is located in suburban Hindmotor, just outside of Kolkata. Designated by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), National Department of Education, India, serves approximately 2000 students with 47 classroom teachers. The teaching methods and philosophies vary widely from teacher to teacher. Most of the teachers employ progressive methods, though to quite different extremes. The school wide curriculum is not rigidly enforced, thus, teachers have time for both independent projects and creative methods. In addition to its classroom teachers, the school has a strong group of support teachers and non-classroom staff. All staff members are in constant contact and collaboration with respect to students and learning environments. The neighborhoods are primarily middle and upper-class, and include a college town. Most students in the school are involved in extracurricular activities, including attending foreign language classes, attending karate classes, playing chess, playing sports activities including football, soccer, basketball, kho kho and playing musical instruments. Many of the students are engaged in at least two different activities outside of school. In general, these students are looking to succeed, and in the fourth grade all already concerned with the grades they are receiving on tests and papers. In general, the students come to school the expectation that they will succeed in school. Parents are constantly in the school environment. Whether they are volunteering for school trips, helping in a classroom party, or bringing in something that their child forget, parents figure strongly in the day-to-day life of the school. They also wield a lot of power over teachers and administrators with their not infrequent requests of changes in curriculum and methods. The school is rich in both material and people resources. Most of the children were above grade level in reading and students are motivated to learn before they set foot in the classroom.

Hooghly Branch (Govt.) School is one of the oldest, glorious and historic school in India. A primary school was eshtablished in Chinsurah by Robbert May of London Missionary Society in 1814. After this, 36 primary school was started in Chinsurah. But after the death of Robbert May (1818) 22 schools were abolished. The school situated in Hooghly was taken by District Magistrate Mr. D.C.Smith on the basis of the application of the missionaries.With the help of the donations donated by Raja Mahatabchandra Bahadur(Bardhawan), Jamidar Jaikrishna Mukhopadhya(Uttarpara), Dwarakanath Tagore e.t.c this school was developed as Subcription School in the year 1834. It was the first English School after Kolkata. The school was started on 9th July, 1836. on 1st August, 1836 ahen the Hooghly College was eshtablished, this school was included in the college and known as HOOGHLY BRANCH (GOVT.) SCHOOL The Madrasa(which was related with Hooghly Iamambara) was marged with this school. In the year 1902 it was taken by Inspector of Schools. The first Headmaster of this school was Mr.Ishanchandra Bandhopadhya. Mr.Parbaticharan Sarkar was the Headmaster when this school was a branch of Hooghly College. 9th July, 1836 the school was started with two teachers and five students. 4th December, 1837 when this school was known as HOOGHLY BRANCH (GOVT.) SCHOOL then the number of student was 227. In the next year, the number of students raised(364). Now, almost 1000 students are studying in this school. Almost 45 teachers are teaching. The school has four buildings, two playground, library, common room & well equipped laboratories(Computer, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics). Many students of this school has achived the success in their life.
