Over the last 21 years he has been best known for revolutionizing men’s fashion with his intricate detailing, impeccable tailoring and rich, opulent designs, Arjun has created a style signature that has become a hallmark of the Indian fashion industry.
From actors and celebrities to business moguls, Arjun’s clients include Gautam Singhania, Anand Mahindra, Rahul Baja as also Shekhar Kapur (who wore his Sherwani to the Oscars), and Zakir Hussain. The renowned world music group ‘Shakti’ (John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, L. Shankar and T.H. Vinayakramwas) was dressed by Arjun when they toured the world in 2007. He has strong loyalists in the film and modeling circuit too – current Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor swears by Arjun’s creations as does actor Arjun Rampal; Hollywood superstar Will Smith, during his trip to Mumbai in 2006, was bowled over by Arjun's design and bought several outfits for himself. In the sports circuit, cricketing god and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and bowler Harbhajan Singh have worn his creations. The latest esteemed personality was British entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson, who wore an AK Sherwani at the Virgin Mobile launch in the city.
Since September 2003 Arjun has been the exclusive design director for the ‘Raymond Suiting Campaign’ which features Arjun’s characteristic elegant look and signature style of impeccable suit-making and fine design. In 2009, he was the only Indian personality invited to exclusively partner with the iconic Harley-Davidson Motorcycles brand for their India market entry. Arjun's latest venture is an offbeat lifestyle-themed boutique - Vespa Rodriguez in the southern paradise of Goa. Seeking to make his collections more experiential, Arjun is a couturier inspired by things, people and even sounds and believes that clothes are an extension of one's expression.
