Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar is a business school in India, located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the eastern Indian state of Odisha. The school is on a 20-acre campus in Bhubaneswar’s institutional area, with classrooms, hostels, studio apartments, gym, a sports club and a multi-purpose auditorium. It is managed by a board of governors, consisting of representatives of the governments of India and Odisha, the Jesuit Society, industrialists and educationists.The school was founded in 1987 under a social contract between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society.AdministrationThe Director of XIMB is Fr. Bagra (CMD, National Aluminium Company Limited)Academic programmesThe academic programmes offered by XIMB are based on the standard model of management education practised globally. Since XIMB is an autonomous institute not affiliated to any university, it does not grant degrees. However, the two year Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management and two-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree of an Indian university.
