Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maruti suzuki Motor Company (MSMCC). MSIL is the largest passenger car exporter and the largest car manufacturer in India. It currently markets 15 car models across segments - cars from the entry level 800, Esteem and Alto, to hatchback Ritz, A-Star, Swift, Wagon R, Zen and sedans DZire, Kizashi and SX4, in the 'C' segment Eeco, Omni, Multi Purpose vehicle Suzuki Ertiga and Sports Utility vehicle Grand Vitara.The company's headquarters are on Nelson Mandela Road, New Delhi.In February 2012, the company sold its ten millionth vehicle in India.
MSIL’s fully integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing plant Harayan,Gurgoan boasts of advanced production, quality and testing capabilities. MSIL forms a critical part of MSC’s global export hub. It currently exports to around 125 countries. MSIL has been India’s number one exporter for last eight years in a row. To cater to rising demand the company commissioned its second plant in February having an installed capacity of 330,000 units per annum. To support its growth and expansion plans HMIL currently has enough dealers and more than 1500 service points across India.MSIL set up a modern multi-million dollar R&D facility in Hyderabad. The R&D centre endeavors to be a center of excellence in automobile engineering.
