Bahadurgarh
Bahadurgarh was founded by Mughal Emperor Alamgir II (The Sultan of Delhi 1754-1759) gave the town in jagir to Bahadur Khan and Tej Khan, Baloch rulers of Farrukhnagar in 1754, who changed its name from Sharafabad to Bahadurgarh.[1]
A fort named Bahadurgarh Fort was constructed there by them. Bahadurgarh came into the hands of Sindhia in 1793. After his defeat in 1803 at the hands of the British, Lord Lake handed the town to the brother of the Nawab of Jhajjar. It was confiscated after the First War of Independence (1857) and became a division of the Rohtak district in 1860.In 1997, the town got attached with Jhajjar after Jhajjar become new district bifurcated from Rohtak. But Bahadurgarh is still larger to Jhajjar in every term; be it education, economy, population or administration.
The town and its villages have been the birth-place of Martyrs & Heroes of the Indian Armed Forces.It has many famous doctors,engineers and educationist and chefs.
Bahadurgarh is located at 28.68°N 76.92°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 206 metres (675 feet). Bahadurgarh is the upcoming NCR of New Delhi, capital of India. Bahadurgarh is upcoming like Gurgaon and Faridabad It is well connected through rail and road network to the capital of nation.

As of 2011 India census,[3] Bahadurgarh had a population of 362,224. Males 198,959 of the population and Females 163,265. Bahadurgarh has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 60% of the males and 40% of females literate. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age. Area of Bahadurgarh city is approx. 50 km2.

Bahadurgarh is one of the fastest developing towns in the NCR region.[citation needed] It is located to the west of Delhi on the National Highway Number 10. Bahadurgarh is gaining popularity as a residential locale for businessmen and public sector employees working in Delhi. Ongoing Kundli Manesar Palwal Highway, Reliance[disambiguation needed] Sez & Yokohama Plant are going to play a vital[peacock term] role in the development of Bahadurgarh.
It has four residential sectors developed by Haryana Urban Development Authority HUDA. Sector-6 is the oldest and most developed of all. Surrounded by lush greenery, it is considered[by whom?] to be the most spacious sector developed in Haryana by Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). It has good transportation links all around. The Footwear park at sector 16 & 17 is an upcoming industrial area. Omaxe, KLJ heights, Times Square & PDM are building a township with mall, hospital, school and society.

Bahadurgarh houses a good number of standardized schools affiliated to CBSE fro nursery to class XII.Prominent schools are S.R. Century Public School(NH10),Bal Bharti School(NH-10),St. Thomas Public School,Triveni Memorial,P.D.M. School and many others.Students from these schools of bahadurgarh have performed well in competitive exams during and after school.There has been a tremendous increase in number of students (especially from S.R.C.Public School)qualifying for IIT-JEE,AIPMT,AIEEE,NDA etc. Bahadurgarh is in close proximity with Gurgaon (30 km). The town boasts a large number of place of worship with its mixed culture. Lord Hanuman Temple on NH-10. The Temple of Sant Kabir Sahib near the Govt. Girls school, one of the oldest Mahaveer Mandir and Gurudwara Sachkhand (opposite to each other ) in Main Bazar, Lord Shiva's Temple at Aggarwal Colony , Shaktimata Peeth( one of the most beautiful temples in sector -6 ) , 3 gurudwaras situated near Najafgarh Road and in Guru Nanak Colony;are some of the most important places of worship in Bahadurgarh. In this area a very ancient Hanuman Temple located at Najafgarh Road.Shani Dev Mandir & Bhagwan Parsuram Mandir both situated at Bhagwan Parshuram Marg'.
