AISF is the first student union, formed in August 1936 at Luckhnow, with primary aim to get freedom from British oppressive rule. The first official meeting was then held in the chairmanship of Sri Jawaharlal Nehru and in the presense of Mohammad Ali Jinaah. It was then greeted by Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Wallabh Bhai Patel and many other prominent leaders of that time. After getting independence in 1947 our key slogan 'Independence, Peace, Progress' became 'Peace, Progress, Scientific Socialism'. The word 'scientific socialism' came from the inspiration and dream of Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar and other martyrs. Several student organisations were also formed by many national and regional political parties only to serve their undue political needs and to break students' unity, but in such a difficult situation AISF has been always protected the basic democratic rights of students and done a tremendous work towards making better academic atmosphere in college and university campuses by way of Seminars, Discussions, Lectures etc. At Patna University, many efforts have been made by AISF in the past. In recent two years, many attempts are made to implement democratic values and natural justice. A number of successful movements, including two successive hunger-st ricks, and many other academic activities like seminars, debates etc. are our key achievements in past two years. We at AISF ( Patna University ), are always dedicated towards protecting democratic rights of students and making better academic atmosphere. AISF Jindabaad!!!!!
