Founded in 2007, Vikrant Educational & Social Welfare Society has its registered office at 3B, Hariom Colony, Morar, Gwalior, MP. It has the noble mission to spread education in the society and thus contribute to the progress and prosperity of India to her emergence as a “developed” nation. Our nation is passing through a period of transition and Vikrant hopes to render some invaluable services to her at this crucial juncture. Since we aim to carry the torch of education to every nook and corner of society, we have primarily planned to establish institutes of higher education in different prominent parts of the state of MP. One of our institutes came into being at Indore in 2008. Now we have taken a step ahead; our new institute named Vikrant Institute of Technology & Management (VITM) starts functioning at Gwalior from the academic session 2009-2010

Vivekananda Kendra is the organisation based on the principles preached by Swami Vivekananda. It was founded 7 January 1972 in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India by Shri Ekanathji Ranade. Its current president is P. Parameswaran.

The name 'Salem' appears to have been derived from Sela or Shalya by which the term refers to the country around the hills, as in the inscriptions. Local tradition claims Salem as the birth place of Tamil poetess Avvaiyar. Salem is also well known for MANGOES. It is the one of the town of Tamil Nadu located in the Western part of the southern most state of India. Almost completely surrounded by hills, Salem is one of the major textile centres in the World. Salem city had population of about 693,236 according to the census of 2001. Also a survey of 2006 says that the current estimated population is about 8.4 lakhs. Also Salem city is said to be the fifth largest city in Tamil Nadu in landscape. Salem is also called as Steel City, Agro City, Limestone City, Electric City, and Mango City. Which itself gives a definition for the name ‘SALEM’. The reason for the names is, Steel city - The Existence of Steel plant in the City. Agro City- Salem is gifted with large area of Agricultural lands in and around the city and Salem District. Limestone City- Salem is also gifted with natural resource like Limestone, Magnesium carbonate and iron ore in the foothills of yercaud. Thus the availability of limestone gives this name to the city. Electric City- The power grid in Mettur Dam situated near the city. This is a very important source of power for northern parts of TamilNadu and even to Bangalore city in Karnataka. Mango City- This is the name this city is called right from the earlier days. Salem is larger and biggest market in south India for Mangoes. Modern Theaters in early 1950’s was the prominent movie makers on those times. The particular production house has a name that three chief minister’s Anna, MGR and Karunanidhi worked during same time. Rathna Studios was another production studio which functioned here. Apart from these production houses, Scenic location’s around Salem and n yercuad, was used to take shoots and still been used. Salem is known for its huge number of theaters after the metro city Chennai. Salem theaters are quick adopters of technology along with Chennai theaters. Right from 70MM, AC up gradation, Theater Complex, DTS Sounds and now into Multiplex Era, Salem Theaters had always been the First to adopt after Chennai. Salem has good numbers of parks situated in the City. Anna Park is the main attraction by City people.

Officially unveiled in July of 1994 by Chef Vincent Mathias and his wife Jessica, Rendezvous Café Restaurant is (as the name itself suggests) a place where people can sit and enjoy a tête-à-tête under a relaxing ambience. Famous for its classic continental, Creole, coastal Indian cuisine and the much sought-after Sizzler and Exotic Seafood, Rendezvous has become a landmark for tourists hailing from all over the world. Although Vincent Passed away early 2010, his wife Jessica, daughters Vanessa and Valerie are continuing to run Rendezvous Café Restaurant and keep his dream alive.

Open Space is a youth Initiative for young people to nurture ideas, creativity and leadership. Open Space is a creative platform for students and citizens to explore, understand and initiate social change. Open Space crates a space for the youth to take action to fulfill their social and environmental responsibilities as young citizens of India. Open Space India (www.openspaceindia.org) began in Pune in 2004 by the Centre for Communication and Development Studies (CCDS), a social change resource centre that builds new spaces for research, communication and dialogue on issues related to social justice and equitable/sustainable development. Ever since, this initiative has spread to different cities, reaching out to the youth of India. Open Space Kerala was initiated in June 2012 creating a space to inspire, innovate and discover change-makers in the young women and men of Kerala.

It is the last city(District) in Punjab on the national highway that connects Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India. Situated in the foothills of Kangra and Dalhousie, with the river Chakki flowing close by, the city is often used as a rest-stop before heading into the mountains of Jammu and Kashmir, Dalhousie, Chamba, and Kangra, deep into the Himalayas.
