Indian School of Mines (ISM) is a fully residential and co-educational university located in the mineral-rich belt of India in the city of Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It was established in 1926 on the lines of Royal School of Mines, London and in 1967, ISM was converted into an autonomous institution with the Deemed-to-be University status. ISM alumni have held key positions in the biggest of the companies in India like SAIL, CIL, ONGC, NTPC, Reliance Industries Ltd, and UCIL.The institute admits students through the Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). It has been ranked as one of the top 12 engineering colleges of India by the Outlook India 2010 survey.click here
