Kulapati K. M. Munshi founded Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938 with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi. TheBhavan was established around the time when freedom was not in doubt; the question was how soon. With freedom round the corner, people were concerned about the New India that would emerge soon. Munshiji not only dreamed of a resurgent India he also felt the need to work towards it. This resulted in the founding of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. TheBhavan has its roots firmly embedded in the Indian soil but its spreading branches reach out to encompass the best of the modern world in the fields of science, technology, economics and management. The Bhavan is a unique institution where Sanskrit classes are found side- by-side with engineering colleges; Gita classes function along with the institute of management; traditional teaching of fine arts as well as the teaching of modern science, arts and commerce is found in its schools and colleges. TheBhavan reaches out to the world through its value-based publications members over 1800 under the banner, Bhavan's Book University. This includes the publication of its fortnightly journal, Bhavan's Journal, and other periodicals.

Koodalmanikyam Temple or Kudal Manikkam Temple is a Hindu temple which is situated in Irinjalakuda, Trissur district, Kerala state, India. The temple comprises of the main structure, walled compound with citadels, four ponds around the main structure where in one of the ponds is situated within the walled structure.Koodalmanikyam Temple is the only temple in India dedicated to the worship of Bharata, the second brother of Rama. Today, the presiding deity of Koodalmanikyam Temple near Irinjalakuda is Bharata, the brother of Ram; originally it was Bharateswara. the Digambara Jain saint. The temple is one of four in Kerala state that form a set called "Nalambalam", each temple dedicated to one of the four brothers in Ramayana: Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna.On the temple website, the Koodalmanikyam Devaswom clarifies that though the deity worshipped is generally believed to be Bharata, the idol in the sanctum sanctorum is that of Vishnu. "Sangameshwara"(Lord of the Confluence) is another name associated with the deity at Koodalmanikyam.

St. Thomas Cathedral Irinjalakuda. Established in the Year 1846.Formerly the church was dedicated to St.George. Its neighbouring church was dedicated to St.Mary. In the year of the institution of the Diocese of Irinjalakuda both these parishes were joined and renamed as St.thomas Cathedral on the procedure of institution of the Diocese of Irinjalakuda in the year of 1978. This was due to the importance of the place of Crangannore presently called Kodungallur in the Diocese where St.Thomas, one of the 12 of Jesus, Apostle for India.
