A pilot program in the summer of 2006 with five students showed good results, and the number of students in the program was increased in stages which is now over 100. Our purpose is to reach out to the IIT Kanpur Alumni Community of 28000+ Alumni Globally and link them with their alma mater and it's students.
The initiative of this program has been very well received both by the alumni and the students. It has enabled many alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, many have contributed financially small and large sums, and some have associated with IITK in a professional manner as a result of this programme. The students, besides earning some money, find it as an excellent opportunity to improve communication skills and leadership qualities.
