Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi , is a government-funded autonomous engineering college in Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a constituent college of Gautam Buddha Technical University . It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. AICTE.It was established in 1986 by the government of Uttar Pradesh to provide impetus to technical education in the state and was the fifth government engineering college in the state. The first batch of the college was admitted in 1989 and graduated in 1993.The highest executive body of the institute is the Board of Governors . At Present Prof N.S.Ghajbhiye, Vice Chancellor, Dr HSG University Sagar & Professor of Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur is the Chairman of the BOG. Prof M.K. Gupta is presently officiating the charge of Director.Management and administrationBIET Jhansi is funded by the government of Uttar Pradesh. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, centered in Bangalore, India, is a unitary university set up in 1996 by the government of Karnataka, India, for the regulation and promotion of higher education in health sciences throughout the state of Karnataka.ProfileThe establishment of the university was directed by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Act of 1994. About 276 colleges throughout the state, affiliated with different universities, that were conducting courses related to Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Nursing were placed under the Rajiv Gandhi University in order to establish uniform standards in academics and administration. The university is named after former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi. Originally it was centered in Mysore, however in 1998 the Karnataka State Legislature directed that it be moved to Bengaluru & in 2012 a decision has been taken to move the head quarters to Ramanagara. The University runs a course on Health Librarianship.Testing problemsIn 2006, the university was the subject of a government inquiry when evidence was revealed that professors had provided students with copies of a post-graduate entrance exam beforehand. The university had earlier had problems with the same exam when errors in the optical mark recognition answer sheets of the test were discovered. University students had claimed earlier that same year that the test was unfairly skewed to benefit more privileged students.

This medical college came into existence in 1968 to provide medical care to poor people of this region, Bundelkhand. Dr. Sushila Nayar, the then Union Health Manister and a Member of the Lok Sabha from Jhansi, Who executed the idea of opening of Medical Collage in this region of Uttar Predesh and she laid down the foundation stone on 16 December 1965 Jhansi –Kanpur road. The first batch of 50 MBBS Student was admitted for Jhansi. L.L.R.M. Medical College, Meerut in 1968 as the construction of college building was still in progress. In 1970 Professor S.K.Saxena, took over as the Head of the department of anatomy at the college, to co-ordinate the activities if this institution, that the regular admissions of students admitted in past two years Meerut for Jhansi were transferred to this place. On September 1st, 1971 Professor S.R.Kapoor took over as the first Principal at the college. The college building spread over a walled area of 380 acres, and this is perhaps the biggest medical college campus in the country. The building grouped into 3 blocks namely administration & teaching block, hospital block, residential block. Near the hospital block & close to old private wards, there are newly formed 24 new private wards. Behind the training center of health and family welfare building, there is an oncology wing. In the hospital block there is also a newly formed Burn unit. The hospital of medical college provides comprehensive medical care, services to the people of Bundelkhand division of Uttar Pradesh the four adjoining districts of Madhya Pradesh. The hospital provides the teaching and training facilities to undergraduate and post graduate students. The college admits 50 students each year in MBBS course and nearly 54 post graduate student in various specialties. College is actively involved in various national health Programmes, e.g. Maternal and Child health, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Family Welfare, Pulse Polio Immunization programme etc.
