NSUI is today, not only India’s, but one of the world’s largest students’ movements. We represent each and every student of this country. We pursue an inclusivist, pluralist and a socialist agenda. The premiere students’ body of India represents the hopes and aspirations of millions of India students, irrespective of their caste, creed, regional, religious or linguistic identities.
The origins of students’ movement in this country dates back to the origin of the whole concept of organized movement. And so does the history of the philosophy that NSUI’s existence. Infact, history bears testimony to the fact that no movement worldwide has ever been successful without an active participation of the students. Several thousands of well-read, intelligent and capable students, who could have comfortably chased their educations mid-way and jumped the bandwagon of Mahatma Gandhi’s call, in pursuit of something much more significant. NSUI salutes this spirit and owes its existence largely to this school of thought. We take pride in being the legacy of this great movement for Indian independence.
Student Activism
NSUI is constituted with the aim of social empowerment, and all the programs of NSUI are aimed at development of India at every level. We organize blood donation camps, tree planting drives, education drives, etc.
NSUI welcomes all students, regardless of your financial capacity, religion, caste, social status. We welcome every youngster with the intention of creating a better tomorrow, a better India for all Indians.
The Revolution
We have embarked on a new journey which will see young leaders emerge from the grass root. The organization is undergoing a transformation to enable us to become more accessible and transparent to students across the nation.
