The college campus has been rewarded for the best architecture award in 2001. In 2004 May, V.V.P. ranked in top six engineering college of Gujarat by the committee under the leadership of the retired high-court judge. The committee was formed as per the guidance of honorable Supreme Court. V.V.P. Engineering College started the Bachelor of Bio-technology Engineering Course in 2004. V.V.P. Engineering College became the first and only college in Gujarat to offer this course. V.V.P. has the State-of-the-art “Online Resource center and Library” the foundation stone of which was laid by the former H.R.D. minister Dr. Murlimanohar Joshi. Civil engineering was started in the year of 2011 M.E. in Computer Engineering was started in the year of 2011 M.E. in Mechanical Engineering (CAD CAM) and M.E. in Electrical Engineering(Power Systems) were started in the year of 2012.
