Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies & Research (HIMSAR) is the first Maritime educational centre in Eastern Region offering Bachelor in Nautical Science (degree) programmes Degree is awarded by West Bengal University of Technology, widely recognized as one of India’s pre-eminent centres for Technology education. It also conducts short term value added courses for deck officers as per the requirement of shipping companies. It also conducts Dredge Cadet course of Dredging Corporation of India. The institute is duly approved by Directorate General of Shipping (D. G. Shipping) and accredited ISO 9001 – 2000 by American Quality assessors LLC and Graded by CRISIL.
