Here are some key facts: TOURNAMENT - Initial tournament cap of 360 teams (potentially rising to 400) - Institution cap of 3 teams and 2 adjudicators - €350 (approx) registration fee (maximum) ADJUDICATION - Chief Adjudicators: Michael Baer (Stanford University) and Harish Natarajan (University of Cambridge) - DCA Ely Zosa - 3 DCAs appointed through open applications - Regionally representative Adjudication team, with a spot open for the best DCA applicant irrespective of region - Guarantee for at least one ESL or EFL DCA - ACAs: Anne Valkering, Vipul Nanda and Pranay Bhatia - An experienced and world-class tab team – led by Harry McEvensonya (Tab Master – Galway EUDC) - At least sixty subsidized judges (full registration subsidy and 30,000 Euros in airfare subsidies) - Comprehensive training program to develop the domestic adjudication pool ORGANIZATION - Tournament organized by Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai. - Official support from National Law School and Rashtriya Vidyalaya College of Engineering. - An experienced Organizing Committee with members from institutions across India, including from NLS, RVCE, IIT Bombay and MSRIT (over 20 debating competitions and many other large events convened between members of the Organizing Committee). - Full support from Rajalakshmi Engineering College and substantial fund-raising support from the college administration and others in the Indian Debating Circuit.
