St. Joseph's Convent School, Varanasi
This School was founded by and managed by the Sisters of Our Lady of Providence, a religious congregation founded in 1817 in France for the Education of children and for the empowerment of the poor. It is an independent body under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Varanasi Diocese endeavoring to provide quality education for the Catholic children as well as other good and earnest students who are ready to abide by the spirit and rule of this institution. We want to give awareness to the children about their duties & responsibilities as citizens of India, to remove barriers of culture, creed, caste, class and gender, to help them to think for themselves & make good and mature decisions, to be morally responsible, spiritually alert, mentally strong, physically fit and healthy. As part of our Endeavour to bring education also to the rural women, we conduct classes daily in Alphabetizations and tailoring for the young women of the locality.
