Chamba Himachal Pradesh
To quote Dr. Vogel, the author of the ‘Antiquities of Chamba State, ‘Chamba achamba’ “(Chamba the charming)”. Chamba district is situated between north latitude 32o 10’ and 33o13’ and east longitude75o45’ and 77o33’. Broadly speaking, the main natural divisions are the Ravi Valley and the Chenab Valley. These are the main rivers which constitute the framework of the river system in the district. The Ravi, the central one of the five rivers of Punjab, is the main stream of the Chamba district. Chamba is the most beautiful Town in Himachal Pradesh and it is the oldest Town in Himachal.
